Senior Quantity Surveyor (Prqs)

Our client is seeking an experienced and professionally registered Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its growing team in Stellenbosch. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute professional to take ownership of diverse commercial retail and mixed-use developments while contributing to the growth of a new branch.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full quantity surveying function from project inception through to final account and close-out.
• Prepare and oversee cost estimates budgets Bills of Quantities (BOQs) tender documentation and cost reports.
• Manage tender evaluations procurement recommendations contract administration valuations and variations.
• Provide commercial advice cost control and risk management throughout project lifecycles.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients consultants contractors and other stakeholders.
• Lead mentor and support junior quantity surveying staff.
• Represent the business at client meetings project sites and industry engagements.
• Contribute to business development networking and identifying new project opportunities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Professional registration as a Quantity Surveyor (PrQS) with SACQSP is essential.
• At least 7 years relevant quantity surveying experience.
• Substantial experience in commercial retail and mixed-use developments.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects independently and deliver the full QS scope.
• Strong commercial contractual financial management and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication organisational and client relationship management abilities.
• Experience with DimX and WinQS.
• Established industry networks and business development experience will be advantageous.
