Join a Respected Building Contractor on a Landmark Hospitality Project
Our client a highly respected and established building contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team on the construction of a prestigious new hotel development in the Stellenbosch area.This is an outstanding opportunity for a commercially astute Quantity Surveyor to play a key role in delivering a high-end hospitality project from construction through to final account.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all commercial and contractual aspects of the project.
- Prepare monitor and control project budgets and cost reports.
- Administer subcontractor procurement appointments and payments.
- Prepare and evaluate variations claims and final accounts.
- Conduct accurate site measurements and valuations.
- Ensure compliance with JBCC contract requirements.
- Produce monthly financial reports and cost forecasts.
- Work closely with the Project Manager Site Team and Client to ensure successful commercial delivery.
Minimum Requirements
- BSc BTech or National Diploma in Quantity Surveying.
- Minimum 8 years experience as a Quantity Surveyor on large building projects.
- Proven experience on hotel commercial or high-end residential developments will be advantageous.
- Strong working knowledge of JBCC contracts.
- Excellent commercial analytical and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and quantity surveying software.
- Ability to manage multiple subcontract packages and meet project deadlines.
