Senior Project Development Manager

Our client is looking for a driven and commercially minded Senior Project Development Manager to support the successful delivery of renewable energy projects across solar wind and water sectors. Based in Cape Town this position offers the opportunity to work within an international organisation committed to developing sustainable infrastructure solutions.

In this role you will:

• Drive the development of renewable energy projects from early development through significant portions of late-stage execution.
• Lead site selection activities and contribute to land acquisition strategies.
• Coordinate permitting processes and manage approvals with relevant authorities.
• Evaluate opportunities for technical improvements that enhance project performance.
• Support commercial discussions and contribute to contractual agreements.
• Manage project budgets financial models and development timelines.
• Monitor project risks and ensure effective mitigation measures are implemented.
• Guide and mentor junior members of the project development team while maintaining high-quality project standards.

To be successful you should have:

• Bachelors or Masters Degree
• Experience managing renewable energy development projects.
• Knowledge of solar wind and/or water infrastructure projects.
• Strong project management and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience with project financial modelling and budgeting.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• The ability to work independently while collaborating within multidisciplinary teams.
