Senior Professional Structural Engineer / Technologist
Candidate Requirements
Takora Human Capital is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Senior Professional Structural Engineer / Technologist to join their Cape Town team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a senior structural professional who is confident managing projects from inception through to completion leading technical teams and delivering high-quality structural engineering solutions.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering
ECSA registration as a Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) or Professional Engineering Technologist (Pr Tech Eng)
Minimum 10 years verifiable post-registration experience
Strong experience in planning design and contract administration
Experience managing projects from inception to completion
STRUCTURAL EXPERIENCE
Experience in the following will be highly advantageous:
Bulk water reservoirs
Water treatment works
Stormwater management infrastructure
Water-retaining structures
Reinforced concrete framed structures
Steel framed structures
Building and engineering projects
SOFTWARE & TECHNICAL SKILLS
Experience with:
Master Series or Prokon
Microsoft Office
Microsoft Project
AutoCAD
Revit advantageous
BIM / ACC Docs & ACC Build advantageous
WERE LOOKING FOR A LEADER WHO IS
Technically strong
Client-focused
An effective communicator
Able to work independently
Comfortable leading technical teams
Strong in project ownership and accountability
Experienced in mentoring and developing technical staff
Commercially aware with business development capability
