Job Summary
Our client is a highly regarded boutique law firm based in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town. Known for delivering tailored high-quality legal solutions the firm combines the agility of a boutique practice with a robust complex caseload. They are currently seeking a commercially astute Senior Litigation Attorney to take the lead on a diverse portfolio of matters and contribute to the firms continued growth.
This position requires a driven and independent litigator who is comfortable managing matters from initial instruction through to finalization. You will operate with a high degree of autonomy within a collaborative environment dealing primarily with civil and commercial litigation in both the Magistrates and High Courts.
- End-to-End Case Management: Independently manage a high-volume portfolio of civil and commercial litigation matters from inception to resolution.
- Drafting & Preparation: Draft review and settle complex pleadings notices affidavits and other court documents.
- Court Appearances: Appear in the Magistrates Court and High Court and brief Counsel on complex matters where appropriate.
- Client Advisory: Conduct consultations provide strategic legal opinions and manage client relationships to ensure excellent service delivery.
- Dispute Resolution: Represent clients in mediations arbitrations and settlement negotiations.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and oversight to Candidate Attorneys and junior support staff.
- Qualifications: LLB Degree
- Experience: Strictly 3 to 5 years of uninterrupted Post Admission Experience (PQE) specializing in commercial and other litigation.
- Technical Skills: Exceptional drafting skills and a proven track record in both High Court and Magistrates Court procedures.
