Senior Lecturer Toolmaking Manufacturing Pinetown KZN

A leading organization specializing in technical skills development for South Africas Tool Die Mould and special Machining (TDM) and manufacturing industries is seeking to appoint a qualified Senior Lecturer based in Pinetown Durban.

Position Purpose

• To develop technical skills for the tooling manufacturing industry.
• Training and development of students in subjects related with the tool die and mould making industry.
• Facilitating practical work in well-equipped workshops.
• Relationship building with Industry Stakeholders.
• To undertake activities and projects as directed by the Regional Manager

Key Result Areas

• Training of trade theory and practical elements to adult students
• OJT mentoring and moderation
• Machining review activities
• Training administration and records
• Training and Assessment reports and reporting
• Machine and equipment readiness
• Works area health and safety
• Organising/planning

Core activities

• Classroom and workshop teaching
• Quality assurance training status and progress reporting
• On-the- Job mentoring and moderation in collaboration with hosting Industry company
• Maintain training records
• Develop learning activities and adapting materials
• Monitor evaluate and report learner progress in key learning areas
• Conduct and record competence evaluations
• Create lesson plans and implement accordingly
• Teach and demonstrate principles techniques procedures or methods of designated subjects / subject matter Administer oral written or performance tests to measure progress and evaluate training effectiveness.
• Build relationships with learners and program stakeholders
• Manage training schedules and workshop activities

Education Requirements

• Toolmaker Qualification (red seal)
• Engineering Technical Qualification N4

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years Relevant Industry Experience
• Ability to comfortably work on Conventional and Advanced machines (e.g EDM Spark/Wire CNC Milling CNC Programming)
• Supervisory/Leadership experience will be an advantage
