Job Summary

Durban North. Well-established business within the clothing manufacturing industry is seeking an experienced Senior Designer / Merchandiser to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and commercially minded professional with strong ladieswear merchandising and design experience to develop and merchandise generic ladieswear collections for leading South African retail brands.

Responsibilities:

Design and merchandise generic ladieswear ranges for leading South African retail brands
Develop commercially relevant and trend-conscious product ranges
Work closely with customers suppliers and internal teams throughout the product development process
Manage the merchandising and design process from concept through to final product
Ensure ranges meet customer requirements quality standards and commercial objectives

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years experience in ladieswear merchandising and design
Relevant Fashion / Design qualification
Strong understanding of ladieswear trends fabrics styling and garment construction
Excellent merchandising and design skills with a strong commercial focus
Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment
Valid drivers licence
