Our client in the Connectivity Services is looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Specialist (Data & Platform Security) on a contract duration of 6 months.
Role Purpose
The Senior Cybersecurity Specialist is responsible for securing enterprise data platforms pipelines and applications that process sensitive subscriber location and geospatial data. The role ensures robust security privacy protection and regulatory compliance across DataCos data analytics and AI ecosystem. This includes implementing advanced privacy-enhancing techniques enforcing data governance controls and supporting compliance with internal policies such as Data Sharing and Monetisation Policy.
Role Purpose
The Senior Cybersecurity Specialist is responsible for securing enterprise data platforms pipelines and applications that process sensitive subscriber location and geospatial data. The role ensures robust security privacy protection and regulatory compliance across DataCos data analytics and AI ecosystem. This includes implementing advanced privacy-enhancing techniques enforcing data governance controls and supporting compliance with internal policies such as Data Sharing and Monetisation Policy.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement security controls for data platforms pipelines APIs and analytics environments.
- Apply privacy-enhancing techniques including k-anonymity l-diversity t-closeness and differential privacy to protect sensitive data.
- Ensure PII minimisation data masking and secure handling of subscriber and geospatial data across all systems.
- Implement and enforce identity and access management (IAM) role-based access control (RBAC) and least-privilege principles.
- Maintain data lineage tracking audit logs and traceability to support compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct security risk assessments and vulnerability analysis for data products ML systems and cloud infrastructure.
- Support secure design reviews in collaboration with Solution Architects Cloud Engineers and Platform Engineers.
- Monitor security events respond to incidents and support root cause analysis and remediation.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards privacy regulations and internal governance frameworks.
- Support approval workflows under Data Sharing and Monetisation Policy ensuring secure and compliant data usage.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers MLOps Engineers and API Developers to embed security and privacy by design.
- Develop and maintain security documentation policies and technical controls.
- Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity Information Security Computer Science or a related discipline.
- 610 years experience in cybersecurity data security or cloud security roles.
- Strong understanding of data privacy concepts and techniques (k-anonymity l-diversity t-closeness differential privacy).
- Experience securing cloud environments (Azure AWS or GCP) data platforms and APIs.
- Knowledge of identity and access management (IAM) encryption standards and key management systems.
- Experience with data governance compliance frameworks and audit readiness.
- Familiarity with telecommunications subscriber data and geospatial data environments is advantageous.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP CISM CCSP or equivalent are highly desirable.
