Senior Control Systems Engineer
ProProcess Engineering a specialist in modular process plants is looking for an experienced Senior Control Systems Engineer to join our ECI department.
This is a senior technical role focused on the design development integration and commissioning of control and automation systems for modular process plant projects.

Technical Experience
Advantageous
Experience in mining or process plants modular plant projects multiple PLC platforms DCS integration industrial networking functional safety/SIL and/or ECSA professional registration will be advantageous.

We are looking for a technically strong engineer who combines excellent PLC and automation skills with practical commissioning experience. The successful candidate will be comfortable leading technical activities reviewing engineering work solving complex problems and engaging directly with clients.

This is a senior technical role focused on the design development integration and commissioning of control and automation systems for modular process plant projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead control-system engineering activities on assigned projects.
- Develop and implement PLC SCADA/HMI and control systems.
- Perform PLC programming system integration testing and commissioning.
- Troubleshoot PLC SCADA instrumentation and industrial communication systems.
- Review control-system designs PLC code and technical deliverables.
- Support plant modifications upgrades and optimisation.
- Interface directly with clients and project stakeholders.
- Participate in local and international project commissioning.
Minimum Requirements
- BEng BSc BTech or National Diploma in Electrical Electronic Mechatronic Control Systems or related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5 years relevant control systems/automation experience.
- Strong PLC programming and commissioning experience.
- SCADA/HMI development experience.
- Experience with industrial plant commissioning.
- Experience with control-system fault finding and troubleshooting.
- Valid drivers licence.
- Ability and willingness to travel locally and internationally for commissioning
Technical Experience
- Experience with one or more of the following:
- Siemens S7/TIA Portal
- Rockwell/Allen-Bradley
- ABB
- Ignition
- WinCC
- DCS
- Profibus
- Profinet
- Ethernet/IP
- Modbus
- VSDs
