Job Summary

Were looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer who knows their way around Linux cloud automation and enterprise infrastructure.

Your mission Keep critical systems resilient secure available and running at peak performance.

Youll work across Linux environments cloud platforms automation monitoring security and IT operations while also helping shape better infrastructure practices across the team.

This isnt just a "keep the lights on" role. Youll be expected to investigate complex problems improve existing systems introduce better solutions and guide less-experienced team members.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Install configure and maintain Linux/Unix clients and servers
  • Monitor system performance availability and capacity
  • Troubleshoot hardware software networking and infrastructure issues
  • Investigate complex technical problems and implement sustainable solutions
  • Apply operating system updates patches and security fixes
  • Manage users permissions and access
  • Work with networking fundamentals including TCP/IP DNS DHCP VPNs and firewalls
  • Implement security best practices including patching firewalls and SELinux
  • Deploy manage and operate workloads across AWS and Azure
  • Implement cloud security and compliance controls
  • Develop and maintain automation and configuration management
  • Use Git/GitHub for version control
  • Provide remote support using SSH VNC and RDP
  • Manage backup and recovery procedures
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and configuration records
  • Keep the knowledge base current and useful
  • Track Jira user stories and make sure deadlines dont disappear into the void
  • Manage Problem Incident and Change processes
  • Support operational stability and IT service standards
  • Participate in and moderate operational meetings
  • Provide guidance to junior and less-experienced team members
  • Participate in standby and occasional weekend support when required

Qualifications/Experience:
  • 5 years IT Operations experience
  • 5 years Configuration Management & Automation experience
  • Strong Linux experience RHEL Ubuntu and/or SLES
  • Strong scripting/coding skills Bash Python PowerShell and/or Perl
  • Strong AWS and Azure experience
  • Strong understanding of Linux administration
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals
  • Experience with Git/GitHub
  • Experience troubleshooting complex infrastructure environments
  • Degree in Information Systems or equivalent practical experience
