Senior Civil Infrastructure Engineer

Pretoria Gauteng
A leading African infrastructure development consultancy is seeking a Senior Civil Infrastructure Engineer to join its multidisciplinary engineering team in Pretoria.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the planning design and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects across the water transportation municipal services and energy sectors. This opportunity is ideal for a technically strong consulting engineer with a passion for sustainable development and infrastructure delivery throughout Southern Africa

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and delivery of civil infrastructure projects
Manage multidisciplinary engineering teams and project stakeholders
Oversee water wastewater roads stormwater and municipal infrastructure projects
Prepare technical reports specifications and tender documentation
Perform project planning budgeting and risk management
Ensure compliance with engineering standards and statutory requirements
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers
Liaise with municipal government and private-sector clients
Support construction monitoring and contract administration activities

Minimum Requirements

BEng / BSc Civil Engineering
Professional registration with ECSA (PrEng)
8-15 years consulting engineering experience
Proven experience in municipal infrastructure projects
Strong knowledge of water wastewater roads and bulk services design
Experience with contract administration and construction supervision
Proficiency in Civil 3D AutoCAD and relevant design software
Excellent stakeholder engagement and project management skills
Willingness to travel when required

Advantageous Experience

SANRAL municipal or public infrastructure projects
Water treatment works and bulk water infrastructure
Transportation and public-sector developments
FIDIC GCC or NEC contract experience
Exposure to projects across Africa
