Senior C++ Developer (Video Technology)

An exciting contract opportunity exists for a seasoned C Developer with a passion for media technology and real-time streaming systems. Our client develops advanced collaboration software used throughout the post-production industry enabling creative professionals to review and share high-resolution content in real time.

Core Duties:
Develop and maintain desktop applications focused on video streaming and processing
Enhance real-time collaboration features for media-intensive workflows
Work extensively within a C and Qt development environment
Support video capture playback encoding and streaming capabilities
Ensure seamless performance across macOS platforms
Manage application distribution processes including packaging and release management
Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making

Minimum Requirements:
10 years of commercial software development experience
Advanced proficiency in C
Strong experience with the Qt framework
Practical experience with WebRTC and GStreamer technologies
Good understanding of media codecs specifically H.264 and H.265
Experience developing native macOS applications
Knowledge of code signing notarisation deployment and update management tools such as Sparkle
Ability to thrive in a distributed remote team environment
