Job Summary
An exciting opportunity is available for a Building Physicist / Building Performance Engineer to join an innovative R&D team focused on advanced construction technologies. The successful candidate will play a key role in optimizing building envelope performance using simulation and testing to improve energy efficiency moisture control durability and acoustic performance.
Job Description:
- Conduct hygrothermal analysis to assess moisture movement condensation risk and drying performance
- Perform thermal modeling and thermal bridging assessments to improve building envelope efficiency
- Support whole-building energy performance optimization through simulation
- Develop airtightness and acoustic performance solutions
- Collaborate with engineering and R&D teams to design and validate testing programs
- Analyze and interpret test results to support product development and performance improvements
- Minimum 58 years experience in building performance analysis
- Facade engineering building envelope design or materials R&D
- Strong understanding of heat air moisture and acoustic performance in buildings
- Experience with simulation software such as WUFI THERM flixo Design Builder Energy Plus or similar
- Knowledge of building energy standards regulations and weatherproofing principles
- Strong analytical problem-solving and technical reporting skills
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Civil Architectural Engineering Building Science Building Physics
- Masters Degree or PhD in Building Science Sustainable Building Technology will be advantageous
