Senior Bookeeper

Play a key role within a dynamic finance team supporting accurate financial reporting compliance and operational efficiency across a growing organisation based in Cape Town.

• Process accounts payable invoices and manage supplier queries
• Prepare and execute bank payments and reconcile transactions
• Maintain bank and credit card reconciliations
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Manage accrued and deferred income processes
• Support full month-end close including journals and reporting packs
• Handle revenue recognition and intercompany transactions
• Maintain fixed asset and intangible registers with related entries
• Prepare VAT returns and provisional tax submissions
• Assist with audit requirements and ad hoc financial reporting

• Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Economics or related field
• 35 years experience in a finance or bookkeeping role
• Strong Excel and spreadsheet proficiency
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Good time management and ability to meet deadlines
• Solid understanding of business and financial processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Clear communication skills and ability to engage stakeholders

• Exposure to comprehensive accounting processes across multiple areas
