In this role you will

Assist the Department to make informed decisions about investing in and delivering artificial intelligence automation and digital innovation solutions.

Working closely with business and technical stakeholders Senior AI Prototyping Officer turns ideas and opportunities into practical prototypes using testing and experimentation to provide evidence insights and recommendations that improve services and support future delivery decisions.

Success in this role involves rapidly developing and validating prototype solutions while balancing architecture security privacy and responsible AI requirements. It assesses the feasibility value scalability and reuse potential of emerging technologies translates complex business needs into workable solutions and provides clear recommendations to support go/no-go and investment decisions in a fast-changing technology environment.

What youll have

  • Experience building rapid AI automation and digital innovation prototypes to test technical feasibility value scalability and implementation options.
  • Practical experience designing configuring and testing lightweight agents custom agents low-code solutions and AI-enabled automation using emerging enterprise platforms such as Microsoft 365 Copilot Copilot Studio Azure AI Foundry Azure OpenAI Service and AI Builder.
  • Experience designing testing documenting and refining AI prototype components prompts agent behaviours integrations and evaluation artefacts using agreed development methods and security practices.
  • Knowledge of solution architecture software design systems integration information security privacy records management data management and responsible AI controls.
  • Experience assessing emerging technologies reusable components and solution patterns and producing technical designs validation artefacts and handover material to support adoption reuse scale and delivery decisions

Essential

  • Relevant industry certifications in artificial intelligence low-code application development cloud technologies Agile delivery or digital innovation (e.g. Microsoft Azure AI Microsoft Power Platform Scrum Master or equivalent).
