Duties & Responsibilities

A well-established organisation operating in a dynamic commercial environment is seeking a technically strong Senior Accountant to support its finance function.

This role offers exposure to financial reporting tax compliance and audit management with the possibility of a permanent opportunity for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

Manage financial accounting and reporting processes
Compile and submit tax returns and statutory tax documentation
Coordinate and manage internal and external audits
Prepare reconciliations journals and supporting schedules
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax legislation
Assist with month-end and year-end reporting
Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and controls

Job Experience and Skills Required

Qualification:

CA(SA) or CIMA
CA(SA) preferred

Experience:

Minimum of four years post-qualification experience
Strong financial accounting and reporting experience
Proven tax compilation and submission experience
Experience managing or coordinating audits
Exposure to pharmaceutical FMCG or retail environments advantageous
