We are seeking a rigorous process-driven and highly motivated Senior Accountant to step into a foundational financial role within our growing organization. This position is strategically designed for an ambitious designation-holding accounting professional who is looking for a clear merit-based career progression track to step up into a corporate Controller seat.
We are intentionally prioritizing organizational excellence over scale; your immediate focus will be to dive into our existing financial architecture identify structural bottlenecks and completely rebuild and streamline our broken processes from the ground up. Reporting directly to the CEO you will transition the finance department from a reactive state into a predictive audit-ready operational machine laying the groundwork for your own department leadership as the company scales.
Process Remediation & Financial Architecture
Workflow Overhaul: Systematically audit diagnose and rebuild broken internal accounting processes closing cycles and internal control frameworks.
Standard Operating Procedures: Author and implement comprehensive accounting manuals and SOPs to ensure scalable financial data capture.
General Ledger Integrity: Clean up historical accounts oversee reconciliation frameworks and maintain absolute data accuracy across all corporate entities.
Full-Cycle Accounting & Execution
Month-End Close: Own the end-to-end month-end quarter-end and year-end close processes significantly reducing the days-to-close cycle.
US Reporting & Compliance: Prepare highly accurate US-GAAP compliant financial statements balance sheets cash-flow models and management reporting packs.
Tax & Audit Readiness: Coordinate data rooms and technical documentation for external tax preparers regulatory compliance filings and CPA auditors.
Strategic Financial Advisory
Executive Partnership: Act as a strategic sounding board to the CEO providing clear visibility into cash burn profitability variance and operating metrics.
Budgetary Guardrails: Assist leadership in establishing departmental budgets cash flow forecasting models and financial risk mitigation strategies.
Professional Designation: CA(SA) CPA CIMA or equivalent active professional accounting credential.
US Market Mastery: 5 years of direct hands-on experience managing corporate accounting for U.S.-based companies. You must possess fluent practical knowledge of US GAAP US corporate structures and American banking/payment ecosystems.
The Fixer Mentality: A proven track record of stepping into unorganized or broken financial environments and independently building clean systems from ambiguity.
Growth Orientation: Highly ambitious self-directed professional who thrives on executive visibility and is actively working toward a Controller title.
Communication: Flawless written and verbal English communication skills with the executive presence to present financial data clearly to non-financial leadership.
