- Bachelors Degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
- Professional qualification such as SAICA CIMA or SAIPA will be advantageous.
- Minimum of 57 years management accounting experience
- Previous experience within the retail industry is essential.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP Sage or similar platforms will be advantageous.
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and financial modelling.
- Knowledge of audit processes and tax compliance requirements.
Job Description:
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts financial reports and variance analyses.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
- Support budgeting forecasting and financial planning processes.
- Analyse financial performance and provide insights to support business decision-making.
- Oversee general ledger reconciliations and ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Assist with the preparation of annual financial statements and audit requirements.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations statutory requirements and internal controls.
- Monitor cash flow expenditure and financial risks within the business.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and reporting efficiencies.
- Support the implementation and optimisation of ERP and financial systems.
- Mentor and guide junior finance team members where required.
- Contribute to the development and execution of the organisations financial strategy.
