Section Manager

• Manage mining operations to achieve safe efficient and sustainable production in line with operational objectives.
• Lead and coordinate mining teams resources and operational activities to achieve production targets.
• Ensure compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act applicable legislation and operational standards.
• Monitor production performance analyse operational data and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency.
• Plan and coordinate mining activities schedules and resource allocation.
• Identify assess and mitigate operational risks to ensure safe and effective mining operations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise productivity quality and cost performance.
• Manage operational and capital budgets while supporting cost control initiatives.
• Coordinate operational projects and ensure successful execution within approved timelines and budgets.
• Lead coach and develop operational teams while promoting a strong safety and performance culture.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare operational reports and provide technical support to achieve business objectives.

• Grade 12
• Mine Managers Certificate of Competency
• Blasting Certificate for Scheduled/Underground Mines
• Degree in Mining Engineering
• Minimum 5 years experience within an underground mining environment
• Minimum 2 years experience as a Section Manager
• Proven experience managing underground mining operations and production teams.
• Valid Drivers License
