SAP PP/DS (MP&S) Consultant (Contract) Mostly remote

We are seeking an experienced SAP PP/DS Consultant to support a major S/4HANA manufacturing planning initiative. This is a contract opportunity forming part of a larger programme with flexibility around capacity allocation and remote working arrangements.

Contract Details

• Contract period: 1 June 2026 30 September 2026
• Preferred start date: 1 June 2026
• Alternative start date: 15 June 2026
• Capacity: Flexible between 50% and 100%
• Work model: Primarily remote
• Occasional onsite work in Cape Town may be required
• Travel costs for onsite requirements will be covered
• Fully remote arrangements can be accommodated where necessary

Role Overview

The consultant will support SAP Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling activities within an S/4HANA environment. While the S/4 solution is officially known as SAP Manufacturing for Planning & Scheduling (MP&S) the market commonly still refers to the solution as SAP PP/DS or ePPDS.

Key Responsibilities

• Support SAP PP/DS (MP&S) solution design and delivery
• Configure and optimise production planning and detailed scheduling processes
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and project teams
• Participate in testing issue resolution and deployment activities
• Provide functional expertise across manufacturing planning processes
• Support integration activities within the broader S/4HANA landscape

Required Experience

• Strong SAP PP/DS / ePPDS consulting experience
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA manufacturing planning solutions
• Proven delivery experience in production planning and detailed scheduling
• Ability to work independently in a remote consulting environment
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills

Preferred Experience

• Experience with SAP Manufacturing for Planning & Scheduling (MP&S)
• Previous involvement in large-scale SAP transformation programmes
• Manufacturing industry experience advantageous

Additional Information

This opportunity offers flexibility for consultants available on either a part-time or full-time basis during the contract period.

Candidates based in South Africa are preferred; however remote consultants will also be considered.
