Our client is based in Centurion they offer a hybrid position with minimum 3 days onsite per week.


PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The SAP Authorisations & GRC Lead is responsible for leading delivery across operational support projects solution design and incremental improvement. The role requires deep SAP Authorisations expertise strong business-process understanding and sufficient SAP GRC knowledge to identify optimisation opportunities guide the relevant GRC resource and assure delivery quality.
This is a hands-on player-coach role accountable for technical direction prioritisation team development and follow-through. The successful candidate must be able to identify weaknesses recommend practical improvements and execute or drive approved actions through to completion.
The Lead may make day-to-day decisions within approved standards and delegated authority. Material new designs significant deviations from current ways of working and material risk or control decisions must be presented to the relevant Portfolio Manager and stakeholders for approval before implementation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
  • A minimum of 10 years relevant SAP Security and Authorisations experience in a complex SAP environment.
  • Relevant SAP certification and IT qualification advantageous with equivalent demonstrable experience considered.
  • Deep hands-on experience in SAP role design business-role concepts authorisation troubleshooting and role optimisation.
  • Strong understanding of how SAP business processes job responsibilities roles organisational restrictions and segregation-of-duties risks interact.
  • Practical understanding of SAP GRC Access Control capabilities and how GRC supports access provisioning risk analysis emergency access and business-role governance. GRC configuration experience advantageous.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA and Fiori security including the relationship between front-end content and back-end authorisations. Exposure to SAP HR authorisations including structural authorisation concepts is advantageous.
  • Experience operating across production support project delivery and solution design.
  • Experience leading technical resources prioritising mixed workloads and assuring delivery quality.
  • Ability to investigate complex or unfamiliar functionality identify weaknesses and drive manageable improvements through to completion.
  • Ability to communicate technical risks options and recommendations clearly to management and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools to support analysis documentation collaboration and management reporting.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Team and Operational Leadership
  • Lead and prioritise the teams operational support change project and improvement workload.
  • Act as the senior escalation point and become hands-on where complexity urgency or risk requires it.
  • Coach and mentor team members promote ownership and maintain delivery quality.
Authorisations Technical Leadership
  • Lead role design business-role design authorisation troubleshooting role optimisation and quality assurance.
  • Translate business-process responsibilities into appropriate access and identify relevant SoD and control implications.
  • Challenge requirements that are excessive inconsistent inadequately supported or difficult to maintain.
  • Work with process owners and functional and technical teams to determine the underlying cause of recurring access issues.
GRC Direction and Optimisation
  • Develop a sound understanding of how SAP GRC is used within the environment and identify practical opportunities to improve its use.
  • Define the intended business and control outcomes for GRC improvements and direct the relevant GRC specialist or resource responsible for technical delivery.
  • Investigate GRC functionality sufficiently to ask informed questions evaluate proposed solutions and drive approved work to completion.
Project Design and Improvement Delivery
  • Lead the SAP Authorisations and GRC workstream for relevant support projects enhancements and business changes.
  • Develop sustainable role access and GRC designs and oversee the related build testing implementation and transition to support.
  • Identify weaknesses recurring issues and manageable improvement opportunities within the Authorisations and GRC environment.
  • Recommend prioritised improvements and execute complex activities directly or coordinate approved delivery across the appropriate resources.
  • Submit material new designs and deviations from approved standards or current ways of working for approval before implementation.
Stakeholder and Governance Management
  • Work effectively with business and process owners SAP functional and technical teams SAP Basis cybersecurity risk audit project teams and service providers.
  • Present technical concerns options and recommendations in clear business and risk terms.
  • Provide technical input into SAP access audits and support the resolution of agreed Authorisations and GRC findings.
  • Provide recurring status updates to management on workstream health highlighting progress risks constraints and decisions required.
