Our client is looking for the following candidate to provide tools and solutions for tax compliance and direct/indirect tax on a group level within the Group IT Hub South Africa.

The Hub focuses on innovation topics as well as comprehensive global IT solutions such as Development and Operations for SAP JAVA Azure and Cloud environments.

• ABAP & Fiori Mastery: At least 8 years of deep technical experience in SAP ABAP Fiori and OData development including hands-on workbench coding debugging and advanced enhancements.

• Tax Compliance Focus: Proven capabilities designing and implementing Centralized TAX Cockpits and real-time compliance solutions (such as digital reporting and e-invoicing) within a global template framework.

• Technical Leadership: Act as a completely independent functional expert to turn ambiguous requirements into clear solutions improve existing complex products affecting multiple systems and provide guidance to team members.

Qualifications & Experience:

• At least 8 years of solid SAP ABAP and Fiori development experience.

• Demonstrated experience working successfully within international and globally distributed teams.

• Strong functional business process knowledge within the Finance domain.

Essential Skills & Technologies:

SAP Development & Architecture:

• Proficiency in SAP ABAP SAP Fiori and OData service development.

• Extensive experience in solution design process configuration and parameterization following a global template approach.

• Strong understanding of interfaces IDOC processing and RFCs.

Tools & Methodology:

• High proficiency using collaboration and ALM tools such as Jira Confluence and Xray (or equivalent).

• Flexibility to assume diverse tasks within the core feature team as required.

• Ability to execute assignments according to the Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter.

Advantageous Skills:

• Prior exposure to SAP HANA performance considerations and data migration approaches.

• Hands-on experience within a SAP TAX environment (specifically SAP FI).

• Familiarity with broader FI/CO modules and their related master data impacts.

• Experience handling Go-Live and hyper-care activities for complex finance-focused implementations.

• Exposure to SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) integration scenarios.

Key Responsibilities:

• Development & Coding: Execute high-quality ABAP and Fiori coding debugging workbench modifications and custom enhancements.

• Requirements & Design: Analyze complex business requirements prepare detailed AS-IS/TO-BE documentation and secure user sign-off for Business Blueprint documents.

• Configuration & Changes: Execute required changes through system configuration write comprehensive Functional Specifications and raise formal Change Requests (CRs).

• Testing & QA: Prepare test data write testing documents and conduct internal integration and regression testing across modules carefully documenting test results.

• Production Support: Handle incoming technical tickets and tasks troubleshoot system issues analyze/resolve Production Support calls and ensure closure within strict SLAs.

• Training & Collaboration: Prepare clear User Manuals conduct training sessions for business process owners interact with consultants across other modules and maintain strong client communication via meetings and workshops.
