Robotics Technician Gauteng

Our client is seeking a Robotics Technician to support the performance and reliability of automated equipment within a plastic manufacturing environment in Gauteng

Key Duties:

• Maintain and service industrial robots and automated machinery
• Attend to equipment breakdowns and perform fault diagnosis
• Conduct planned preventative maintenance activities
• Troubleshoot electrical mechanical pneumatic and control-system faults
• Assist with robot programming calibration and optimisation
• Support machine installations commissioning and equipment upgrades
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and production efficiency
• Collaborate with production personnel during technical interventions
• Assist with shutdown maintenance and equipment inspections
• Complete maintenance reports job cards and relevant technical records
• Maintain a safe and organised working environment

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric
• Millwright Trade Test
• Electrical Engineering advantageous
• Practical experience with industrial robotics and automated manufacturing equipment
• Plastic manufacturing industry experience
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
• PLC and automation experience would be advantageous
• Knowledge of pneumatic systems sensors motors and variable speed drive
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving capabilities
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Able to work effectively in a production environment
