Job Summary
Duties & Responsibilities
The core purpose of the RIGGER role in an opencast mining environment is to ensure the safe efficient and compliant lifting moving and positioning of heavy equipment structural components and materials to minimize downtime and maintain continuous safe mining operations. This position will report to the TMM Engineering Sujpervisor
Inspect maintain and test rigging gear like slings chains and hooks.
Plan safe lifts for heavy mining equipment parts and structural steel.
Signal crane operators and guide loads into position during overhauls.
Rig and secure loads for transport across the open-pit site.
Repair and maintain draglines shovels and heavy haul truck components.
