The role offers strong exposure to both finance and systems alongside the chance to develop consulting and client engagement skills within an innovative team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build reporting and planning applications within specialised financial reporting software.
- Develop data collection templates and financial models using advanced Excel functionality.
- Configure reporting structures and integrate data from multiple source systems.
- Produce automated financial reports dashboards and analytical outputs for clients use.
- Manage client relationships and provide ongoing system support and optimisation recommendations.
- Assist with implementation projects documentation and client training.
- Participate in internal initiatives and contribute to continuous process improvement.
- Education:
- BCom in Finance or a related financial Degree
- Completed or in progress CIMA qualification will be advantageous / CA(SA)
- Experience:
- Minimum 3 years experience in a financial reporting FP&A financial management or Financial Business Analyst role
- Experience implementing or supporting financial reporting / planning software solutions
- Skills:
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (financial modelling formulas data validation conditional formatting and reporting outputs)
- Strong understanding of financial reporting budgeting and forecasting processes
- Ability to prepare financial reports such as management accounts financial statements or budget packs
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- High level of professionalism and confidence when engaging with finance professionals
- Advantageous:
- Understanding of IFRS and group consolidation principles
- Exposure to SQL or database environments
- Prior consulting or software implementation experience
- Completed accounting articles
