Renewable Energy Development Engineer

A leading opportunity awaits an experienced engineering professional looking to combine renewable energy development energy modelling and battery storage optimisation.

Our client is looking for a technically strong individual to support projects across wind solar PV and BESS while contributing to the commercial development of a growing renewable energy portfolio.

The Opportunity:

A technically and commercially focused renewable energy role responsible for wind energy analysis and project development BESS sizing and optimisation energy/revenue modelling and providing technical input into project approvals financing and offtake strategies from early development through to construction.

What Youll Need:

• or BSc(Eng) qualification.
• 3 to 5 years experience in wind energy assessment.
• Demonstrable renewable energy development experience.
• BESS modelling and dispatch optimisation experience is highly preferred.
• Understanding of South Africas electricity market and relevant pricing and wheeling mechanisms.
• Excellent analytical written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and strategic thinking.
• Highly organised proactive and capable of taking ownership.
• Ability to solve problems logically and make practical recommendations.
• Willingness to travel.
