Our client in Paarl is seeking a Registered Environmental Assessment Practitioner (EAP) to join their team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced EAP to manage their own portfolio of projects while working within a collaborative and supportive team environment. The successful candidate will take ownership of project delivery client engagement and authority liaison with access to management support mentorship and professional oversight.
The role will involve a diverse range of environmental assessment projects including residential developments mixed-use developments and infrastructure-related applications.

Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Manage and deliver environmental assessment projects from initiation through to completion.
Prepare and oversee Basic Assessment Reports Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) and related environmental applications.
Provide expert guidance on environmental legislation and compliance requirements.
Engage effectively with clients specialists authorities and stakeholders.
Coordinate project timelines deliverables and quality control.
Maintain strong professional relationships with clients and regulatory authorities.
Minimum Requirements
Registered Environmental Assessment Practitioner (EAP) with relevant professional experience.
Minimum 3 years professional EIA experience as a registered EAP.
Masters degree in Environmental Management or a related field preferred.
Strong working knowledge and practical application of:
National Environmental Management Act (NEMA)
National Water Act (NWA)
National Environmental Management: Biodiversity Act (NEM)
National Environmental Management: Air Quality Act (NEM)
National Heritage Resources Act (NHRA)
Conservation of Agricultural Resources Act (CARA)
Related environmental legislation and regulations
Excellent report writing technical communication and analytical skills.
Demonstrated experience managing client relationships and engaging with government authorities.
Project Portfolio
The successful candidate will work on a variety of environmental assessment projects including:
Basic Assessments
Full Environmental Impact Assessments
Environmental authorisation applications
Residential and mixed-use developments
Infrastructure projects including roads pipelines and associated works
