Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Job Experience and Skills Required:
Diploma or Degree in Accounting Finance Credit Management or a related field.
Minimum5 years experiencewithin credit control or accounts receivable.
At least2 years experience managing a credit or debtors team.
Retail or FMCG industry experience will be highly advantageous.
Strong understanding of credit risk management and accounts receivable processes.
Experience analysing debtor ageing collections and financial performance.
Exposure to Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools will be advantageous.
Strong leadership coaching and people management skills.
Excellent analytical communication and problem-solving abilities.
High attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills will be advantageous.

- Lead coach mentor and develop the regional credit control team.
- Drive team performance through KPIs regular reviews coaching and development initiatives.
- Oversee the full accounts receivable and collections function.
- Monitor debtor ageing and implement effective strategies to improve collections and reduce overdue balances.
- Ensure accurate customer account maintenance reconciliations and adherence to agreed payment terms.
- Assess and manage credit risk identifying potential high-risk customers and taking appropriate action.
- Implement maintain and improve credit policies procedures and internal controls.
- Engage with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve account and payment-related issues.
- Liaise with legal representatives on escalated and overdue accounts when required.
- Prepare and analyse debtor ageing collection performance and management reports.
- Provide accurate debtor information to support month-end and year-end reporting.
- Assist with banking invoicing and other finance-related activities where required.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve the efficiency of the credit function.
- Ensure compliance with audit requirements financial regulations and internal company policies.
- Partner with key stakeholders across the business to drive improved cash flow and overall financial performance.
