We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Regional Business Manager to lead the operational and commercial performance of our Business Unit. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership across production engineering SHEQ financial management and people development to ensure the efficient safe and profitable operation of the business.
Duties & Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Regional Business Manager to lead the operational and commercial performance of our Business Unit. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership across production engineering SHEQ financial management and people development to ensure the efficient safe and profitable operation of the business.
This role requires a dynamic leader with strong technical and operational expertise excellent business acumen and the ability to drive continuous improvement while maintaining the highest standards of safety quality and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and execute strategic business and production plans aligned with organisational objectives.
  • Lead the overall operational performance of the Business Unit.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to maximise productivity efficiency and profitability.
  • Set performance objectives and monitor progress against key performance indicators (KPIs).
Operational Management
  • Ensure the effective and efficient running of all operational functions including:
    • Mechanical
    • Electrical
    • Technical Services
    • Production
    • SHEQ
    • Training and Development
  • Manage operational risks and implement contingency plans to minimise business disruptions.
  • Promote a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Financial Management
  • Manage the Business Units financial performance in line with approved budgets.
  • Monitor costs productivity profitability and operational efficiencies.
  • Ensure sound financial controls and effective corporate governance practices.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational and financial performance.
Safety Health Environment & Quality (SHEQ)
  • Champion a Zero Harm safety culture across the Business Unit.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant SHE legislation company policies and statutory requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement in safety environmental and quality performance.
  • Ensure quality standards are consistently maintained across all operations.
People Leadership
  • Lead coach mentor and develop management and operational teams.
  • Drive employee engagement accountability and high performance.
  • Manage employee relations and labour-related matters in accordance with applicable legislation.
  • Foster a positive inclusive and performance-driven workplace culture.
Minimum Requirements:
Qualifications
  • Relevant tertiary technical qualification (Engineering Production Manufacturing Operations Management or related field).
Experience
  • Minimum 5 years management experience within a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary operational teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in business planning production management financial management and operational performance improvement.
  • Sound knowledge of SHEQ systems and compliance requirements.
