Job Summary

Our client in the telecommunications sector is looking for a Recruitment Consultant on a contract duration of 12 months.

Role Purpose
The Recruitment Consultant is responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle by sourcing screening interviewing and placing high-quality candidates across various industries. The role involves building strong relationships with clients and candidates understanding hiring requirements and delivering recruitment solutions that meet business objectives while achieving placement and revenue targets.


Key Responsibilities
Client Management
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients.
  • Understand client business needs culture and recruitment requirements.
  • Conduct job briefing meetings and advise clients on market trends salary benchmarking and hiring strategies.
  • Negotiate recruitment terms fees and service level agreements where applicable.
  • Ensure excellent customer service throughout the recruitment process.
Business Development
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities.
  • Conduct cold calling networking and client visits.
  • Prepare and present recruitment proposals.
  • Achieve monthly sales and placement targets.
  • Build long-term partnerships with clients.
Candidate Sourcing
  • Source candidates through job boards LinkedIn databases referrals networking and social media.
  • Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline.
  • Advertise vacancies using appropriate recruitment platforms.
  • Conduct proactive headhunting for difficult-to-fill positions.
Candidate Assessment
  • Screen CVs against job specifications.
  • Conduct competency-based interviews.
  • Assess technical skills behavioural competencies and cultural fit.
  • Verify qualifications references and employment history.
  • Prepare candidate profiles for client submission.
Recruitment Process Management
  • Coordinate interviews between clients and candidates.
  • Manage interview feedback and candidate communication.
  • Negotiate offers salaries and start dates.
  • Support onboarding and pre-employment compliance.
  • Ensure recruitment activities are completed within agreed turnaround times.
Administration & Compliance
  • Maintain accurate candidate and client records within the ATS/CRM.
  • Prepare recruitment reports and pipeline updates.
  • Ensure compliance with labour legislation and POPIA requirements.
  • Manage documentation including contracts references background checks and onboarding documentation.
Market Intelligence
  • Stay informed about industry trends and salary benchmarks.
  • Monitor competitor activity and recruitment market developments.
  • Provide clients with hiring insights and talent availability.
Minimum Requirements
Education
  • Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Business Administration Psychology Marketing or a related field (preferred).
Experience
  • 35 years experience as a Recruitment Consultant or Talent Acquisition Specialist.
  • Proven experience in agency recruitment.
  • Demonstrated success in sourcing and placing candidates across various industries.
  • Experience in business development and client relationship management.
