Radiographers are primarily responsible for operating X-ray equipment fluoroscopy in theatre screening CT scanning and MRI to produce high-quality diagnostic images that aid in the diagnosis of patients.

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

• Completion of Community Service within the relevant field of work MRI experience and capability.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

• 2 years private practice

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION

• National Diploma Radiography BTech Radiography or Bachelors in Diagnostic Radiography (BRad)

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

• Operate radiology equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
• MRI Examinations
• Assist the Radiologist with procedures
• Application of Radiation protection measures to minimise radiation exposure to patients staff self and others (ALARA Principle)
• Provide accurate and comprehensive records of examinations performed
• Identify prevent and manage risks to ensure patient safety
• Quality control test as per SAHPRA Regulations
• Assist with modality stock control and ordering of consumables
• Assist with billing procedural and ICD-10 codes

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• SAHPRA Regulations
• Computer Literacy (Microsoft Office)
• ALARA Principle
• Procedural and ICD-10 codes
