We are seeking an experienced and methodical Quantity Surveyor to join our team. This role requires a professional who can deliver comprehensive cost management services across all project stages (Stage 1-6) with demonstrated expertise in both fitout and basebuild environments. The successful candidate will work across diverse sectors including Retail Residential Commercial Industrial and Educational developments.


Key Responsibilities

Pre-Contract Services

  • Prepare Order of Magnitude Estimates for early-stage project assessments
  • Conduct Feasibility Studies to evaluate project viability and cost parameters
  • Produce detailed Elemental Estimates for design development stages
  • Develop Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and complete Procurement Documentation
  • Perform Tender Evaluations and lead commercial Negotiations with contractors

Post-Contract Services

  • Administer contracts including assessment of Variations and Claims
  • Prepare and certify monthly Valuations for Payment Certificates
  • Deliver accurate and timely Cost Reporting to clients and project stakeholders
  • Manage Final Account processes and settlements
  • Calculate and advise on professional Fees

Essential Requirements

Qualifications & Professional Standing

  • BSc (Hons) or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying
  • Registered Professional Quantity Surveyor with SACQSP (mandatory)
  • Minimum 4-6 years of post-qualification experience

Technical Experience

  • Proven experience across all project stages (Stage 1-6)
  • Demonstrable expertise in both fitout and basebuild projects
  • Strong background in Cost Management across multiple sectors
  • Experience in Engineering Procurement Contract Administration and Tender Adjudication
  • Track record of successful project delivery in fast-paced environments
