Quality Assurance Manager

• Own and maintain QC reporting systems including Ketendo and D6 ensuring data integrity and actionable reporting insights.
• Lead train and manage QC teams including oversight of third-party inspectors and seasonal resource planning.
• Translate customer requirements into robust quality specifications maintain SOPs and ensure label compliance.
• Assess and manage claims provide evidence-based feedback and drive continuous improvement initiatives with producers.
• Lead and develop direct reports chair weekly quality meetings and collaborate closely with Technical Sales and Operations teams.
• Provide technical input into budgets monitor expenditure and ensure compliance with financial guidelines.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• High attention to detail with excellent communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new systems and processes.
• Strong time management and organisational skills.
• Valid drivers license with willingness to travel extensively during peak seasons.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to compliance and quality standards.
• Comfortable with extended travel and periods away from home.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma or Degree in a relevant field (essential).
• 57 years experience in fruit quality control.
• 34 years management experience.
• Strong knowledge of local regulatory requirements and the export fruit industry.
• Experience within the soft fruit industry and exposure to QC systems will be advantageous.
