Our client based in Centurion is seeking an experienced Project Quality Engineer to join their Quality Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical engineering background practical quality experience and the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams in a regulated environment.
Job Purpose:
To ensure project quality requirements are clearly defined implemented and maintained throughout the project lifecycle from initiation to final delivery while ensuring compliance with technical customer and industry standards.

Minimum education (essential):
- Relevant engineering Degree in Electronics RF Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- 8 years relevant experience in quality and engineering.
Required nature of experience:
- Practical quality and engineering experience.
- Project quality planning inspections audits and supplier quality.
- Manufacturing quality and quality documentation control within complex technical projects.
- Experience in defence security government projects or other regulated technical environments.
- Exposure to international customers suppliers or project teams advantageous.
Skills and Knowledge (essential):
- Microsoft Office and intermediate Excel.
- Microsoft Dynamics NAV advantageous.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS WEIGHTS AND OBJECTIVES
Project Quality Planning & Documentation
- Develop implement and maintain project quality and inspection plans.
- Review drawings specifications test procedures and manufacturing documentation.
- Ensure quality requirements and acceptance criteria are clearly defined.
- Maintain accurate project quality documentation and records.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with quality management systems engineering standards and contractual requirements.
- Participate in design reviews production readiness reviews and project gate reviews.
- Support testing verification and quality inspections.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and industry-specific requirements.
Risk Management & Corrective Actions
- Identify and manage project quality risks.
- Investigate non-conformances and determine root causes.
- Implement corrective actions and manage concessions.
- Resolve technical quality concerns and drive continuous improvement.
Audits Inspections & Reporting
- Lead or support internal audits supplier reviews and process audits.
- Conduct or coordinate product inspections and ensure findings are addressed.
- Prepare quality reports status updates and first article inspection documentation.
- Support customer government and third-party audits and inspections.
Stakeholder Coordination & Quality Leadership
- Collaborate with engineering project management production and supply chain teams.
- Engage with suppliers and customers to address quality requirements and concerns.
- Provide quality guidance coaching and decision-making support to project teams.
- Promote proactive quality management throughout the project lifecycle.
