• Salary relative to experience and ranges from $112375 to $124158 super

Our Marine Coast Estuary and Flood team is seeking to appoint Project Officers. These roles support delivery of the NSW Floodplain Management Program including technical and policy advice as well as project delivery across NSW.

In this role you will manage and enhance flood-related databases contribute to the monitoring evaluation reporting and improvement of the NSW Floodplain Management Program support the delivery of high-quality flood studies and flood risk management plans and assist in implementing flood risk management actions across the state.

About You

You demonstrate sound judgement and the ability to operate within defined frameworks contributing to outcomes aligned with organisational priorities policies and business plans. You are comfortable working within established guidelines including budget parameters and play an active role in supporting effective flood risk management outcomes.

You will work collaboratively within a team environment reporting to a senior flood risk management professional and contributing to shared objectives.

You bring:

• Knowledge of flooding processes including understanding and managing flood behaviour to reduce risks to communities
• Application of spatial and non-spatial data with proficiency in relevant systems and software
• Experience in data collection analysis and report writing
• Knowledge of flood risk management frameworks including relevant legislation guidelines and policies

This role does not have direct reports or budget responsibility but requires a proactive and collaborative approach to delivering high-quality outcomes.

Essential Requirements

• Appropriate tertiary qualifications
• Current Driver Licence class C and willingness to travel
