Avatar International is recruiting for a 12-month Project Manager contract with a large international technology organisation in Durban.

The successful person will join the Product Office supporting the coordination and delivery of projects across a complex fast-moving technology environment.

This opportunity would suit a mid-level Project Manager who is comfortable working with multiple stakeholders and technical/product teams and who can keep delivery moving without needing a heavily prescribed environment.

What youll be doing

Your responsibilities are expected to include:

• Managing projects from initiation through to delivery
• Building and maintaining project plans milestones and delivery schedules
• Coordinating activity across Product Technology and business stakeholders
• Facilitating project meetings and tracking agreed actions
• Monitoring delivery progress dependencies risks and issues
• Escalating blockers appropriately and helping drive resolution
• Maintaining accurate project documentation and status reporting
• Providing clear progress updates to stakeholders
• Supporting prioritisation and resource coordination
• Helping teams maintain delivery momentum
• Supporting project governance and reporting requirements
• Working collaboratively across multiple teams and stakeholder groups

What were looking for

Ideally youll bring:

• Commercial Project Management experience within a technology digital software or product environment
• Experience coordinating cross-functional project teams
• Good understanding of structured project delivery
• Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills
• Experience managing risks issues dependencies and deadlines
• Confidence working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
• The ability to manage several priorities simultaneously
• A pragmatic delivery-focused approach
• Availability to work from the Durban office

Experience in software development digital products iGaming FinTech financial services or another fast-paced technology environment would be advantageous.

Project Management qualifications or certifications such as PMP PRINCE2 or Agile/Scrum would also be advantageous.

• Duration: 12 months
• Location: Durban
• Engagement: Contractor via Avatar International
• Target contractor remuneration: approximately R57500 per month dependent upon experience and final contracting structure
• Start: As soon as practical
