In this role youll:

Working as part of a team delivering technical engineering and project management advice across the project lifecycle of natural disaster recovery and resilience projects including assessment planning and delivery whilst maximising eligibility and reimbursement opportunities under Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA).

This role will see you provide technical engineering and project management advice; lead a team working across Transport the NSW Reconstruction Authority and local councils; support the development and submission of eligible claims; facilitate technical and engineering support; conduct infrastructure damage assessments; contribute to financial management audit and reporting; monitor project performance; and provide technical leadership for resilient transport infrastructure solutions.

You will lead the development and delivery of emergency and reconstruction works natural disaster recovery outcomes and resilient infrastructure solutions in a complex environment requiring collaboration across Transport the NSW Reconstruction Authority local councils and technical engineering experts whilst managing disaster recovery funding and claims processes.

This is a permanent full time position based at Newcastle or Grafton with hybrid ways of working and travel between Central Coast to QLD border to New England areas.

About you

Your technical engineering expertise project management capability stakeholder engagement skills and knowledge of road and bridge construction and maintenance formed across engineering infrastructure road and bridge construction maintenance and project delivery sectors will see you excel in building and maintaining constructive relationships across Transport the NSW Reconstruction Authority and local councils managing the application and claims process under the NSW Disaster Assistance Guidelines and providing technical support for natural disaster emergency and reconstruction works to lead to the restoration of essential public assets successful disaster recovery outcomes and fully reimbursed eligible projects.

Youre recognized as a collaborative and results-focused leader skilled at delivering complex natural disaster recovery and resilience projects experienced in managing the development and construction of road and bridge projects and building constructive and effective working relationships with local government.
