Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Project Manager to oversee energy projects from initiation through to successful completion. This role requires a strong project management professional who can coordinate multiple stakeholders manage resources and schedules and ensure projects remain aligned with scope budget quality and delivery requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan execute and oversee projects from commencement through completion.
  • Develop and manage project schedules resources milestones and deliverables.
  • Monitor project progress and identify potential delays risks and issues.
  • Coordinate with expeditors inspectors logistics teams suppliers and other project stakeholders.
  • Manage the expediting process to ensure materials and equipment are delivered according to project requirements.
  • Coordinate inspections and support adherence to applicable quality standards.
  • Oversee logistics activities including transportation warehousing and site deliveries.
  • Resolve project issues and implement appropriate corrective actions.
  • Prepare project documentation progress reports and other relevant records.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients suppliers contractors and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to improve project processes efficiency and overall performance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering Project Management or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management including planning scheduling risk management and stakeholder coordination.
  • Experience with expediting and ensuring the timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Knowledge of inspection processes and quality control within technical or energy-related projects.
  • Experience in logistics management including transport warehousing and site deliveries.
  • Strong analytical organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in the energy utilities or infrastructure sector is advantageous.
  • PMP PRINCE2 or similar project management certification would be beneficial.
  • Willingness to work on site in Johannesburg and travel to project locations as required.
