Our clients are looking for a project manager to join their team

Job Description:

The Project Specialist is responsible for planning coordinating monitoring and closing out the wash bay construction project to ensure safe compliant timely and operationally ready delivery. The role covers project planning contractor coordination progress reporting risk management commissioning support and final handover.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the project plan programme milestone tracker risk register action log and close-out tracker.
  • Coordinate design inputs procurement interfaces contractor mobilisation site readiness work sequencing and construction activities.
  • Monitor progress against agreed scope timelines milestones and deliverables.
  • Coordinate communication between company stakeholders suppliers contractors consultants and client representatives where applicable.
  • Prepare regular written progress reports covering status risks issues decisions required overdue actions and next steps.
  • Oversee wash bay-specific requirements including civil works drainage wastewater containment oil-water separation water supply electrical interfaces equipment installation environmental controls and operational readiness.
  • Support safety quality environmental legal and company compliance during project execution.
  • Manage commissioning readiness snag close-out final inspections documentation handover and practical completion.

Key Deliverables:


  • Approved project plan programme milestone tracker risk register action log and issue register.
  • Progress reports meeting minutes decision logs and stakeholder communication records.
  • Site inspection records commissioning support documentation snag list close-out tracker handover readiness report and final handover pack.

Qualification:

  • bachelors degree or National Diploma in Project Management Business Administration Engineering Construction Management Operations Management or a related field

  • A project management certification (e.g. CAPM PRINCE2 Foundation or PMP) advantageous.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 35 years experience in project coordination or project management
  • preferably in an industrial manufacturing logistics or construction environment.
  • Experience coordinating contractors suppliers consultants and multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience in project planning scheduling reporting budgeting and project
  • Experience working on site-based projects and ensuring compliance with health safety environmental and quality standards.


Knowledge and Skills:


  • Strong contractor supplier consultant and stakeholder coordination capability.
  • Working knowledge of project planning reporting risk management issue management and project documentation.
  • Understanding of occupational health and safety environmental compliance quality controls and site-based work requirements.
  • Strong communication follow-up problem-solving documentation and the ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • Experience using project management software such as Microsoft Project Primavera or similar tools will be advantageous.

  • Strong planning organising and time management skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Commercial and operational awareness with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain disciplined documentation control.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively coordinate contractors suppliers consultants and other stakeholders.
  • Strong follow-up problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to identify escalate and mitigate project risks.
  • High level of accountability and ownership for delivering agreed project outcomes within scope budget and timelines.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Commitment to compliance with all applicable legislation occupational health and safety requirements environmental regulations site rules personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements company policies and confidentiality obligations.
  • Maintain professional and ethical conduct in all interactions and ensure compliance with corporate governance standards
