Job Summary
Are you an experienced Project Engineer with an Electrical Engineering background and strong experience in building services We are looking to connect with engineers who have a proven track record of managing and delivering electrical building services projects from initial design through to construction and completion.
Job Description:
- Manage and coordinate the delivery of electrical building services projects from concept through to completion
- Provide technical input into electrical designs calculations specifications and project documentation
- Oversee MV/LV reticulation lighting small power standby power and electrical distribution systems
- Coordinate with architects contractors clients and multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Conduct site inspections attend project meetings and provide technical support during construction
- Monitor project programmes budgets deliverables and technical quality
- Manage client relationships and coordinate project requirements and expectations
- Ensure projects comply with SANS standards industry regulations and client specifications
- Identify and resolve technical and project-related challenges
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 5 years experience within Electrical Building Services Consulting
- Strong electrical engineering background with experience in project delivery and coordination
- Proven experience with MV/LV systems lighting small power standby power and electrical distribution
- Experience working on commercial industrial retail healthcare or residential developments
- Strong understanding of the building services consulting environment
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary projects and contractors
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; Revit experience advantageous
- Strong project management client liaison problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining technical quality and project deadlines
Qualification:
- BEng / BSc in Electrical Engineering
- ECSA Registration advantageous
- Pr Eng or eligibility for professional registration advantageous
- Project Management qualification or experience advantageous
