What youll be doing (and why youll enjoy it)

This is an owner-side Project Director role where youll lead utility-scale renewable energy projects from Financial Close through construction commissioning COD and handover into operations. Expect to oversee EPC delivery governance contracts claims lender reporting grid interfaces HSE quality budgets risks and stakeholder alignment. Youll enjoy this because its a high-impact role with genuine accountability where your ability to anticipate risk unlock decisions and keep complex projects moving will directly shape successful delivery.

Where youll be doing it

Youll join a lean experienced renewable energy investment and asset management platform focused on developing financing and managing utility-scale projects in South Africa. Its a commercially driven environment where technical excellence strong governance and long-term asset value matter and where your construction expertise will also help strengthen future projects before Financial Close.

What youll need

A relevant degree in Engineering Construction Management Project Management or similar is essential with 15 years experience in infrastructure power or renewable energy projects and at least 10 years in senior project leadership. Strong experience with utility-scale Solar PV and/or BESS EPC oversight HV/MV infrastructure Eskom or NTCSA grid interfaces project finance commissioning and COD is key. PMP SACPCMP NEC or FIDIC exposure would be advantageous.
