Programme Manager (MSM, TG, PWID, HIV Prevention, Care & Treatment) Fixed term based on funding

TB HIV Care (THC) in existence since 1929 is an internationally recognised non-profit organisation. We provide health care services throughout South Africa to both the general population and communities at increased risk for HIV and TB including adolescent girls and young women sex workers and people who use drugs. Purpose of the position:

The Programme Manager provides strategic technical and operational leadership for the MSM TG and PWID HIV Prevention Programme across all implementation sites.
The role ensures effective programme planning coordination supervision and delivery of HIV prevention PrEP ART initiation and retention and community awareness objectives.
The Programme Manager coordinates communication with programme teams government structures donors and community organisations while monitoring performance and ensuring compliance with national and donor standards.
Through supportive leadership coaching and mentorship the role promotes a rights-based stigma-free and client-centred environment that drives quality and measurable programme outcomes.

• Bachelors degree from a four-year College/University (or equivalent) in Health Public Health Behavioural Life or Social Sciences Nursing Medicine Health Economics Project Management Human Resource Management or a related field.
• NIMART certification.
• Dispensing Licence.
• Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) or equivalent professional body.
• Minimum three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in development programme coordination/management key population programming civil society programmes or related public health programme management.
• At least two (2) years experience working with key populations preferably MSMTGPWID (and/or PWID transgender people) including community engagement outreach and clinical service delivery.
• At least two (2) years experience in project/programme management.
• Experience in analysing data and summarising large volumes of data into graphs and reports.
• Technical experience in one or more of the following areas: Stakeholder Relations Technical Support Monitoring Reporting and Evaluation and Internal/External Stakeholder Communications.
