Professional Quantity Surveyor (PQS)

Our client is looking for an accomplished Professional Quantity Surveyor to join their established consulting practice in Cape Town. This opportunity is suited to a Quantity Surveyor with more than 10 years of experience within a Professional Quantity Surveying environment and a proven ability to manage projects from inception to final account.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates budgets and feasibility studies.
• Manage cost planning throughout all project stages.
• Compile tender documentation and evaluate contractor submissions.
• Administer contracts and monitor project costs.
• Prepare valuations payment certificates and final accounts.
• Provide accurate commercial advice to clients and project teams.
• Liaise effectively with clients consultants and contractors.
• Ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets.

Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying.
• Minimum of 10 years experience within a Professional Quantity Surveying consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts and cost management principles.
• Excellent analytical negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Professional registration will be advantageous.
