Job Summary
Were looking for a Production Supervisor who can keep people production and performance moving in the right direction while making sure quality and safety never take a back seat.
What Youll Be Doing
- Manage and support production staff on a day-to-day basis.
- Lead motivate and train production teams to keep operations running efficiently.
- Monitor individual and team performance against production standards and targets.
- Track production statistics data and hourly output.
- Report hourly production figures and targets to the Production Manager.
- Attend daily production meetings and prepare the necessary reports and documentation.
- Identify staff training needs and communicate these to the Production Manager.
- Ensure employees operate in a safe healthy and compliant working environment.
- Monitor compliance with company policies industry regulations and required standards.
- Work closely with support departments to help the factory achieve its overall production targets.
- Keep an eye on the numbers spot challenges early and help get the production floor back on track when needed.
Requirements
What Youll Need
- Matric is essential; a relevant qualification will be advantageous.
- 6 years production experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience within the manufacturing/FMCG environment is preferred.
- Good understanding of production processes and operations.
- Understanding of procurement processes is advantageous.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Strong leadership and people-management skills.
- Ability to multitask prioritise and work effectively under pressure.
- A hands-on approach with the ability to meet tight production deadlines

Required Education:
1. Relevant Logistics/Supply Chain degree with Spatial Planning an advantageous extra OR 1-3 years experience in a similar role with proven execution/deliverables2. Experience in an FMCG environment cosmetic or pharma industry advantageous.3. Strong Leadership and Analytical skills.4. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all situations.5. Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects with high attention to detail.6. Computer literate MS Office Word/Excel/Power Point.
