Job Purpose:
Our client is seeking a Production Manager to oversee daily production operations in a fast-paced high-pressure environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating production packing staff and operational activities while ensuring efficiency quality and smooth workflow. This role requires a hands-on leader with exceptional multitasking problem-solving and organisational skills to keep operations running seamlessly.
Responsibilities & Skills:
- Lead the production floor in a fast-paced organised and high-pressure environment.
- Manage coach and motivate a team of approximately 70 employees.
- Provide clear direction regular feedback and performance support.
- Prioritise and manage multiple tasks while adapting to changing operational demands.
- Foster a positive culture focused on accountability teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Resolve interpersonal challenges and maintain high team morale.
- Develop strong working relationships and promote employee growth.
- Partner with HR on recruitment onboarding training and staff development.
- Oversee daily roasting grinding packing and dispatch operations.
- Monitor production targets workflow efficiency and team performance.
- Identify and resolve operational issues including equipment breakdowns and staffing shortages.
- Ensure compliance with hygiene food safety and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate with Maintenance Inventory and Quality Assurance teams to maintain operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate production records and analyse performance trends to drive continuous improvement.
- Matric - Grade 12
- Any Degree in Engineering or certificates would be an advantage.
