Procurement Officer – Board Industry

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Procurement Officer with board industry experience to join our team in Jacobs Durban.

Minimum Requirements:

• 35 years of relevant procurement experience.

• Previous experience in the board industry is essential.

• Relevant qualification in Procurement Supply Chain Management Purchasing or a related field.

• Strong negotiation communication and organisational skills.

• Experience in supplier sourcing purchasing stock control and inventory management.

• Ability to manage orders monitor deliveries and maintain good supplier relationships.

• Must be detail-oriented proactive and able to work under pressure.

• Must be available to start immediately.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and purchase boards raw materials and related products.

• Negotiate competitive pricing and favourable supplier terms.

• Process purchase orders and follow up on deliveries.

• Monitor stock levels and ensure materials are available when required.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.

• Ensure cost-effective procurement and timely delivery of goods.
