Privacy Engineer (Senior)

Our client is looking for a Senior Privacy Engineer to develop and implement privacy-enhancing technologies that protect sensitive information while enabling enterprise data products and advanced analytics. This role offers the opportunity to shape privacy-by-design practices across modern cloud and data platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement privacy-enhancing technologies across enterprise data platforms.
• Apply techniques such as k-anonymity l-diversity t-closeness and differential privacy.
• Support privacy-by-design initiatives throughout the development lifecycle.
• Develop data protection controls for sensitive information.
• Work closely with engineering governance and compliance teams.
• Ensure solutions align with applicable privacy regulations and organisational policies.
• Contribute to data lineage access control and audit readiness.
• Produce technical documentation and privacy implementation guidelines.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Security Data Science or a related discipline.
• 10 years experience in data privacy security or information governance.
• Strong understanding of privacy engineering principles.
• Experience implementing privacy controls in enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms data architecture and secure software development.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.

Advantageous:

• Experience with PETs in large-scale data environments.
• Privacy certifications such as CIPP/E CIPM or similar.
• Experience supporting regulated industries.
• Knowledge of enterprise governance frameworks.
