A leading manufacturing operation in Pinetown is seeking an exceptional Pressings Department Foreman to take ownership of a high-volume press shop environment servicing major automotive and industrial customers. Duties & Responsibilities
What Youll Be Responsible For
- Leading and developing a team of Supervisors Press Tool Setters and Press Operators
- Driving productivity quality efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives
- Managing production planning workflow scheduling and resource allocation
- Ensuring adherence to automotive quality standards and manufacturing best practice
- Interpreting engineering drawings and ensuring dimensional compliance
- Optimising Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and reducing downtime
- Coordinating tooling maintenance die setups and production readiness
- Promoting a culture of safety accountability and operational excellence
- Supporting ISO and automotive quality management system requirements
What Were Looking For
- 5 to 8 years experience within a metal pressings or metal stamping environment
- Minimum 3 to 5 years in a Supervisory Team Leader or Foreman capacity
- Strong understanding of technical drawings GD&T and manufacturing tolerances
- Experience working with mechanical hydraulic or eccentric presses
- Exposure to high-volume automotive or industrial component manufacturing
- Sound production planning and scheduling experience
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 systems
- Exposure to IATF 16949 standards would be highly advantageous
- Strong leadership communication and problem-solving abilities
Highly Advantageous Experience
- Presses ranging from 15T to 200T capacity
- Coil-fed production environments
- Automated feeders guillotines and material handling equipment
- Overhead cranes gantries stackers and forklifts
- Automotive manufacturing and Tier 1 supplier environments
