Plumber and General Maintenance Technician

Key Responsibilities

Perform general maintenance and repairs on building elementswalls ceilings floors doors windows and furniture.

Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to uphold facility standards.

Address basic plumbing issues: clear drains repair leaks replace taps and manage minor pipework.

Execute basic electrical tasks (non-certified): replace bulbs fuses and plug points.

Track and maintain facility tools equipment and assets.

Supervise and liaise with third-party contractors during site visits installations or repairs to ensure policy compliance.

Stay compliant with health safety and internal company protocols.

Provide prompt responses to emergency maintenance incidents.

Assist with office layout changes furniture reconfiguration and minor installations.

Maintain accurate maintenance logs and work records.

Qualifications :

Qualifications & Experience Required

Essential Minimum 12 years experience in general building maintenance roles.

Qualified red seal trade tested Plumber

Strong commitment to health & safety and compliance with facility protocols.

Computer literate with good communication skills (English & Afrikaans essential).

Must have own mobile phone and be available for shift work (Monday to Friday)

General Building work training

Familiar with OSHACT

Driver licence
