PLC Specialist

A leading organisation within the manufacturing and automation sector is seeking an experienced PLC Specialist to join their technical team. This role is suited to a hands-on technician with strong automation PLC programming robotics and electrical fault-finding experience.

• Repair maintain and troubleshoot industrial robots and automated equipment.

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance in line with maintenance schedules job cards and work instructions.

• Conduct electrical fault-finding across automation robotics and production equipment.

• Assist with robotic applications projects installations and commissioning.

• Maintain accurate repair records and provide feedback on completed work.

• Participate in departmental problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Ensure all work complies with company quality SHEQ and safety requirements.

• T3/S4 Diploma in Instrumentation Electronics Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics.

• 5 years experience in Automation and Instrumentation with 23 years in an electrical/automation technician role.

• Extensive PLC programming experience particularly Siemens S5/S7 and TIA Portal.

• Experience with Siemens ABB and KUKA robotics including KRC4.

• Strong knowledge of automation pneumatics hydraulics presses and robotics maintenance.

• Good technical fault-finding problem-solving communication and interpersonal skills.
